Digital & Data Sculptures
2023
The collection is inspired by the fusion of data visualization and digital sculpture, an artistic medium created digitally or used to represent various forms of data. To develop this concept, I explored the application of digital sculptures across multiple disciplines. This research led me to a wide range of visual references, including graphs, 3D models, paintings, and digital imagery.
Taking the investigation further, I examined the intersection between data-driven art and fashion, analyzing how designers incorporate no digital sculptural elements into their work. From this research, I curated an inspiration book featuring fifty mood boards, created digitally using Canva and Adobe Photoshop. These were printed and enhanced with handmade additions to add a tactile dimension to the digital foundation.
The final collection features eight looks, divided into two subgroups:Group A and Group B. Group A consists of four looks inspired by digital sculptures that reflect natural and floral themes, while Group B features four looks influenced by geometric and abstract data forms. To maintain a cohesive digital aesthetic, all designs were illustrated digitally using Adobe Fresco and FashionDraw.
